Kenneth Kendall was a popular British broadcaster, known for his pioneering work as a newsreader on the BBC and as the host of Channel 4’s Treasure Hunt. He had a cameo in the 1968 science-fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
In 1992 Kendall moved to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, opening a restaurant with his partner, Mark Fear. Kendall and Fear entered into a civil partnership in 2006, having been together since 1989.
