Sydney is a trans lesbian who was born in 1987 and grew up in the small village of Rookley on the Isle of Wight. She tries to make ends meet working part time jobs whilst pursuing her passions as a freelance illustrator, poet and game designer.

Lie Along the Shore is a book containing a collection of 18 Illustrations inspired by the oral histories collected by the Out On An Island project. It imagines queerness and queer identity as a living force emerging from a hostile, colourless world, challenged and threatened by external forces, but blossoming finally into something wonderful and liberatory, with the promise of a brighter future, if further treacherous seas can be crossed.
